Hospital Day at the Legislature

 

 

An estimated 150 hospital personnel from around the state including doctors, nurses, volunteers, and others representing the more than 36,000 employees of West Virginia’s hospitals will be attending Hospital Day at the Legislature, Thursday, February 23, 2006. 

 

The event is sponsored by the West Virginia Hospital Association and will serve as an important opportunity for hospitals from around the state to present a unified voice to state legislators on issues affecting the hospital field.

 

The day’s events include remarks delivered by Governor Joe Manchin, III, other key elected officials, and Steven Summer, President of the West Virginia Hospital Association.  Participants will attend Senate and House floor sessions, committee meetings, and will also have the opportunity to speak with their local legislators.   

 

The West Virginia Hospital Association represents 73 acute care hospitals and specialty hospitals and health systems in West Virginia.
