WEST VIRGINIA HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICERS, TRUSTEES

CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Hospital Association, representing the 73 acute care and specialty hospitals and health systems in West Virginia, recently elected new officers and appointed trustees for 2005-2006 at their 80^th Annual Meeting held at The Greenbrier Resort September 28-30, 2005. They include:

Chairman: Don Muhlenthaler, FACHE, Administrator and CEO, Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, Buckeye;

Chairman-Elect: Dan Lauffer, FACHE, President and CEO, Saint Francis and Putnam General Hospitals, Charleston and Hurricane, respectively;

Immediate Past Chairman: Bruce McClymonds, President and CEO, West Virginia University Hospitals, Morgantown; and

Treasurer: Alvin Lawson, JD, FACHE, CEO, Pleasant Valley Hospital, Pt. Pleasant.
